Overview
The General Education and Policy Subcommittee (GEPS) handles matters related to the Core IMPACTS areas (formerly Core Areas A-E) and other matters such as approval of courses to carry the Humanities, Social Sciences or Ethics attribute.
Quick Tips for Core IMPACTS Attributes
New courses: Must be fully approved through the internal governance process before requesting a Core IMPACTS attribute. New courses can be submitted through the ICC site.
Existing courses: Units that are requesting an attribute for an existing course can begin the process with the Office of Undergraduate Education and Student Success by emailing undergraduate@gatech.edu.
Requesting a Core IMPACTS attribute for a new or existing course can be a lengthy process with multiple steps of internal and external approval. If you have questions about the process, please email the Office of Undergraduate Education and Student Success at undergraduate@gatech.edu.
If you have further questions about other attributes like STEM or Ethics, please reach to the Curriculum team by emailing curriculum@registrar.gatech.edu.
